Where does our production data live?

We offer both edge and cloud storage. You can run everything locally on the gateway inside your facility and use the cloud for backup only, or rely fully on cloud storage. The choice is yours. You own your data. We never sell it or use it for purposes outside your account.

Is the platform secure?

Yes. We provide end-to-end encryption from sensors to the cloud backup interfaces. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Edge gateways run hardened Linux with automatic security updates.

Can we run completely offline?

Yes. The edge gateway operates independently and stores up to 30 days of data locally. When connectivity returns, it syncs automatically. Dashboards and alerts work locally via your internal network. AI features require a remote connection by default, but fully local options are possible with some additional configuration.

Who at Edgeweave can see our data?

Only authorized support engineers, and only when you grant access. All access is logged and auditable. We never use your production data for any purpose outside your account.

What AI do you use?

We are provider-agnostic. Our architecture allows us to switch models depending on the task: lightweight models for simple classification or alerting, more advanced ones for root-cause analysis or scheduling optimization. This flexibility also lets us accommodate data sovereignty or security constraints by routing AI workloads to approved providers or running models locally.

How long does deployment take?

A few days from kickoff. Sensor shipping is usually the longest lead time. Platform setup, installation, and integration each take hours, a day at most. Once sensors arrive, physical install takes about half a day.

Do we need to stop production to install?

Accepted Answer

No. All sensors are non-intrusive and install without disconnecting equipment. Clamp-on power monitors, environmental sensors, and cameras all attach externally.

Who does the installation?

Your team, usually a maintenance technician or line lead. We provide guided setup through the app and are available by call or chat if you need help. No external integrators required.

What if a sensor fails?

We ship replacements within 24-48 hours. Most sensors can be swapped in under 5 minutes with no tools required.

Do sensors need batteries or power?

Sensors are powered via PoE or standard power plugs. Battery options exist for smaller, environmentally-oriented sensors. We alert you before batteries run low.

Which ERP/MES systems do you support?

Native integrations with Odoo, SAP Business One, and Oracle NetSuite. Any system with a REST API can be connected. We're adding more native integrations based on demand.

How long does integration take?

Typically 1-2 weeks. Our AI-assisted field mapping handles most of the configuration work. You review and approve rather than configure from scratch.

Can we start without integrating our ERP?

Absolutely. Many pilots start with Edgeweave standalone to prove value, then add ERP integration later. Manual order entry is supported during initial deployment.

Will integration slow down our ERP?

Accepted Answer

No. We use efficient API calls with configurable sync frequency (real-time, every 5 minutes, hourly). The load is negligible for any modern system.

Pilots get weekly calls with our team during onboarding (first 8 weeks), plus ongoing access to chat/email support and a shared Slack channel with engineering.

Core support hours are 9am-6pm Eastern, Monday-Friday. Extended support hours can be arranged after review of your needs and scope.

Our system is designed to make training as unnecessary as possible. We leverage UX expertise and AI so the tool adjusts to your operations, not the other way around. That said, we do provide onboarding sessions covering dashboard navigation and alert configuration, and role-specific guidance (operators, supervisors, managers) is available on request.
